In 2019, the City is investing $9.7 million into road reconstruction projects to extend the life of existing roadways and replace roadways at the end of their life.

These projects are captured under the Road Rehabilitation Program already occurring in sites throughout the City. The program continues in the Mountview Business Park area beginning September 3, 2019 and in the College Park area beginning on September 11, 2019.

In College Park, crews will rehabilitate 106 Street and 104 Avenue. Both areas will see road work including cold milling, asphalt overlay, storm sewer infrastructure repairs, hot mix asphalt placement, concrete work, line painting, and landscaping. Crews are expected to operate from Monday to Saturday until work is complete.

The City and contractor aim to minimize traffic delays throughout the project. It is expected that some locations will be down to one lane alternating traffic during select periods. Weather permitting, these roadway upgrades are expected to be completed by the end of September.
