A Christian mother is reaching out to fellow believers and asking for prayer as she awaits a decision in her appeal.

Aasiya Noreen, commonly known as Asia Bibi, was arrested in 2009 and charged with blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad and the Qur'an. That's a charge punishable by death in Pakistan.

On October 8, Bibi's case was finally heard by Pakistan's Supreme Court, after being delayed since November of 2014. The Supreme Court has now delayed their judgement, "for several days or possibly weeks to review the hearing and the country's blasphemy laws," according to Open Doors USA.

Her husband, Ashiq Bibi, recently told a Christian radio network in England that she has a message for fellow Christians around the globe.

"She told [me] that the community must remember her in their prayers because this is an international country ... [I] need international pressure for the release of Asia Bib," the husband said.

"She always has said that Jesus is her life and she is living in the name of Jesus, and [trusting] that Jesus will help her," he said.

Open Doors USA has reported that as the Supreme Court makes their decision, "extremist groups have taken to the streets and the Internet to mount mass protests throughout the country against the Christian mother of five—calling for her execution and even threatening the lives of Supreme Court judges in the case."
