This weekend, Rotarians and community leaders from across North America will gather together for the Rotary District 5370 People of Action Conference.

The conference, which will be held October 3-5 at Evergreen Park near Grande Prairie, Alberta will provide inspiration, reflection, inclusion and a call to action to serve others.

“In addition to hearing from our exceptional lineup of world-class speakers, participants will spend time discussing some tough topics including human rights, equality and food needs and building peace in our own communities and throughout the world,” said District 5370 Governor Tracey Vavrek. “This conference isn’t just for Rotarians, it’s open for anyone to attend.”

Confirmed conference speakers include Mark Brand, human rights activist, James Cunningham, host on Food Network Canada and comedian, Amanda Lindhout, journalist and New York Times bestselling author. David Mead, co-author of “Find Your Why” and facilitator, Neil Pasricha, author of “Book of Awesome” and TED Talk speaker and Dean Rohrs, past vice president of Rotary International.

“While registrations to attend are still being accepted, space is limited. This conference is going to be life changing and is a once in a life-time event that you won’t want to miss,” said Vavrek.
