On Oct. 22, 2021, at 2:45 a.m., Peace Regional RCMP received a report of a vehicle that had been struck with an object while traveling westbound on Highway 2.

Further investigation determined that sometime between 2:15 a.m.- 2:30 a.m., a truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 2 near the airport and an object was thrown out their window. This object shattered the windshield of the complainant’s vehicle that was traveling eastbound. As a result, the driver of the vehicle has sustained severe eye damage.
