Coming up this Saturday, April 29, there will be a fundraiser dinner for local biathlete, Liam Tinworth. Family and friends are holding the event to support Liam’s training and travelling expenses for international competitions this year.

Liam was born and raised in Grande Prairie. He is an amateur athlete who started cross-country skiing in the local Jackrabbit program when he was 8 years old. He then moved on to the Biathlon and Cross-Country competitive teams at the Wapiti Nordic Centre.

Fundraising efforts are for Liam’s costs to pay for each competition and tour that he participates in for the 2023-2024 season with an approximate cost of $30,000.
