The world's oldest living couple is sharing the secret to their 80 years of marriage and over a hundred years of life.

The Guinness World Records has recognized John and Charlotte Henderson as the oldest living married people in the world. They will be celebrating their 80th anniversary on December 22. John is currently 106, and Charlotte is 105 years old. They met in college in 1934 during a zoology class at the University of Texas in Austin. John and Charlotte were 20 and 21 at the time.

Charlotte says John would pick her up every day in his roadster to take her to class and that he is an "overall good man." After a five-year courtship, they were married in 1939 in front of two guests. They honeymooned in San Antonio for $7 a night.  Now retired, John was an oil worker and Charlotte was a school teacher.

John says in a video it's their perspective on life that's kept the marriage alive, they live in moderation. "Take every day in stride, try to make tomorrow better than today. Be grateful for what you're given and make the best of it. Don't overdo anything.

"Live in moderation," he says.

John and Charlotte say although they haven't and don't argue much in their marriage if there is a disagreement they make sure it is resolved before they go to bed.
