Whitecourt RCMP recently executed a one-day project aimed at arresting wanted persons in the Whitecourt detachment area. The project has led to 23 warrants being executed against 13 individuals by local officers thus far.

As a result of a review of warrants held by the Whitecourt RCMP, and of those wanted by other law enforcement and residing in the Whitecourt area, Whitecourt RCMP began a project to bring those people back before the courts. On December 14, 2019 a one-day event of targeted enforcement led to the arrest of ten wanted individuals. The inquiries made by police led to an additional three persons turning themselves in at the Whitecourt Detachment.

“The attempts to locate others who are wanted continues,” states Cst. Alex Ayres of the Whitecourt RCMP Detachment. “Bringing those people back before the courts continues to be a priority for the detachment.”

If you know the location of any wanted persons, please contact Whitecourt RCMP at (780) 778-5454 or your local police.
