The City of Winnipeg is making a pitch to the CFL to be the hub city if the league has a season this year.

Manitoba Premier, Brian Pallister, says his province will kick in $2.5 million to help pay for hotels, transportation, field rentals and more.

The Saskatchewan Government, upped that to $3 million later in the day if the CFL goes there.

The League and the players remain in talks to amend their current collective agreement that would allow for a shortened season to be played.
