Lauren Daigle's visit to the Angola State Prison on Giving Tuesday raises funds for clothing and phone calls for its inmates.

"What really means a lot is phone calls," Daigle says in her video. "Giving Tuesday gave $17,000 to give phone calls for your families."

Thanks to Daigle, inmates received 70,000 minutes of phone time and the ability to purchase loungewear.

"The impact you have with your children to be able to make those phone calls or even just a little more," said Daigle while speaking to inmates. "I hope that means something to you guys."

Daigle's performance at the prison in her home state of Lousiana for the prisoners lifted their spirits and caused strong emotion for those in the audience. "The impact you have with your children to be able to make those phone calls or even just a little more," said Daigle while speaking to inmates. "I hope that means something to you guys.

"He doesn't point a finger; he doesn't shame. He sits with you," Daigle says.
