As tributes continue to pour in for apologist Ravi Zacharias a group of musicians gathered virtually to perform one of his favourite hymns.

Ravi's daughter, Naomi Zacharias, gave a heartfelt introduction to the song. At the time the video was made Ravi was still in Houston, Texas, receiving treatment for bone cancer. Since then it was announced that there are no medical options left, and he returned home to be with family in his final days.

Naomi is the director of Wellspring International which provides grants to organizations that help women and children. One of those groups is Metro Music Therapy in Georgia. They passed on the video to Naomi who was able to share it with her father.

"I got to sit next to my dad and push play and see the look on his face as he heard them using their beautiful voices to sing for him. Singing for him, and singing one of his favourite songs of all time. Words that he knows and has clung to for years, and words that he knows and clings to even today."

Thousands of tributes have been pouring in online for the beloved Christian leader using the hashtag, #thankyouravi.

RZIM President Michael Ramsden says that Ravi has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support. "It's been a huge blessing," says Ramsden in a video online thanking people.

"There are no doubt all kinds of unanswered questions we have as we look forward. But, we know that we can ultimately trust Christ both with the timing of our lives and also with His calling over us because we know the one we worship is good and steadfast, and we can rely on Him even when everything doesn't seem to go according to the way we wished or planned," says Ramsden.
