The traffic lights at 108 Street and 132 Avenue were activated.

The project was completed through a partnership between the City of Grande Prairie and County of Grande Prairie to accommodate higher volumes of traffic, improve safety for motorists and improve the connectivity between the municipalities.

Both municipalities agreed to share the cost of the traffic signal installation.

The City of Grande Prairie is completing some additional upgrades in the area. These include paving the roadway and the installation of a pedestrian pathway on the east side of 108 Street.

Work is anticipated to be completed late September, weather permitting.

The city values regional collaboration with the County and appreciates the partnership on this project.
