Toby Mac has begun a charity to honour his son's life and asks fans to give to support orphans with dreams like Truett.

The Christian rapper shared with fans on social media the launch of the charity with a poster stating "From Truett's Life, Give Life."

The Truett Foster Foundation will work in partnership with the Global Orphan Project to uplift children like his late son, who was a budding rap artist.

"Truett Foster McKeehan had an untamable grand personality and dreams to match. Since the age of 12, he knew he wanted to make music. Dreams are so important to kids growing-up. Too many children do not have the financial ability to pursue their dreams.  We want to use this fund to help kids do just that: to get an education – to pursue music – to get the chance to chase their dreams. Truett would love that," Toby Mac shared.

According to the Foundation, he and his wife Amanda will form a selection board, to "prayerfully pick young men and women to create a Kingdom legacy from Truett’s life." One hundred percent of all proceeds will go to the children and the Global Orphan Project will cover any administrative costs.

Toby Mac hopes that the financial aid won't stop at just providing musical opportunities but that the recipients will go on to make a difference in the world.

The website states, "Truett’s passion to unleash others through his life, through his art, will be multiplied. Your donation will help send vulnerable youth to college, that they may realize their God-given potential to change the lives of others."
