On Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at approximately 1:30 PM, Grande Prairie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) were patrolling the downtown area when they located a stolen vehicle. Members conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and arrested both occupants without incident. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of crystal methamphetamine, fentanyl and cash. During the course of the investigation police obtained information that a third person was en-route to the suspect vehicle to deliver additional drugs. The male was quickly intercepted by CRU and arrested.

127 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, 14 grams of Cocaine, 25 grams of Fentanyl, one taser  and $3800 in Canadian currency were seized. 

35-year-old Adam Byrne of Grande Prairie, and 30-year-old Lacey Hollingshead of Bluesky have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

Stacey Trotter, age 33, of Grande Prairie, is facing3 counts of Possession a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and 3 counts of Possession of a Weapon Contrary to an Order.
