Students will have the opportunity to experience STEM Learning at the new St. Patrick Catholic School.

Principal, Shelley LaCroix announced the reopening of the new school at a parent consultation meeting on March 20th. Opening September 5, 2023, students attending the Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 school can experience learning through a STEM focus.

OUR PHILOSOPHY: Our vision for St. Patrick is to create a learning environment that is filled with faith and joy, which integrates a rigorous curriculum with a STEM emphasis to enhance learning for all students.

WHAT IS STEM LEARNING? STEM Learning is an educational approach that focuses on the teaching and learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects in an integrated and interdisciplinary way. It emphasizes the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills through hands-on activities and experiences. It encourages students to explore, experiment, and discover the principles and concepts of STEM subjects through real world applications.

WHY STEM LEARNING? STEM Learning is increasingly more important in today's world. Students will develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world and contribute to the development of new technologies, innovations, and solutions to complex problems. A student well-versed and literate in these fields tends to be an innovative and critical thinker. They are able to apply what they’ve learned to real world problems, and improving their communities along the way.
