The City of Dawson Creek has announced some changes to public transit beginning June 29.  

This includes: 

  • Reduction in service routes and changes to current schedules 
  • Route 3 Central will no longer be available  
  • Route 2 Southside will be adjusted  
  • Service on Saturday will no longer be available  
  • Bus stops will be removed and relocated according to service changes 

In addition to these changes, on July 1 bus fares will go up. All individual fares will cost $2.25, where before an adult ticket was $1.75, and a student or senior ticket was $1.50. Ten tickets will be $20.25. An adult monthly pass will go from $50 to $56, senior from $40 to $39 and student from $30 to $39. 

There will be a day pass available for $4.50. An adult 19 or over with a valid monthly or day pass will be able to bring up to four children 12 and under on the bus for free.
