The Grande Prairie Fire Department responded to a structure fire overnight on early Saturday.

The fire was discovered by the RCMP who quickly notified the fire department.

Upon arrival the home was full of smoke and a fire was located and extinguished in the basement.

There were no injuries during this incident, and no one was home during the fire.

The fire is currently being investigated and all enquiries can be made to the Grande Prairie Fire Department investigator.
