The newest addition to the Royal Family was born in the early morning hours May 6, 2019.

The palace announced on Instagram, "We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.

The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives. More details will be shared in the forthcoming days."

According to the Canadian Press, "Prince Harry says the baby boy his wife Meghan delivered early this morning is -- quote -- ``absolutely to die for.''

Harrys says he's over the moon after the healthy baby boy came into the world at 5:26 local time weighing seven-pounds, three-ounces.

The couple is still working on a name. Harry told reporters gathered outside Windsor Castle that he was present for the birth, which he said was an amazing experience."
