After almost 30 years of serving his community, DeBolt Fire-Rescue Volunteer Fire Chief Tom Burton is stepping down to devote more time to his wife Alisa, family and concentrate on his public service commitments to Greenview.

Along with leading his fire crew, he also represented at the provincial and federal levels on numerous fire service committees always looking for an opportunity to increase the level of safety for all volunteer firefighters.

Greenview Regional Fire Chief Brown stated, “Chief Burton has been the cornerstone of DeBolt Fire - Rescue, he is what a volunteer firefighter exemplifies, selfless with a steadfast commitment to his community when they needed him and his fire crew most. We’ll miss Chief Burton and the strong support provided by his wife Alisa, however we recognize that he will have our best interests at heart while working as the Councillor for Greenview.”
