The City of Grande Prairie celebrated Canada's birthday a few days late due to inclement weather on July 1.  The Reverse Parade on Saturday afternoon through downtown Grande Prairie featured classic cars and a variety of community booths.  Residents viewed the displays on 100th Avenue in downtown Grande Prairie from the comfort of their vehicles.

The skies over Grande Prairie lit up with fireworks just before midnight on Saturday night (July 4) with two simultaneous displays over Muskoseepi Park and the CKC East football field near St. Joseph's Catholic High School.  Once again, residents were encouraged to enjoy the fireworks from the comfort of their vehicles.
