Canadian Christian artist Jamie Hiscox was raised in a Christian home, but as a teen he walked away and chose a different direction.  A path of drugs and alcohol lead him down a dark hole, and escalated very quickly.  After the tragic loss of his brother in 2007, from a motorcycle accident, God got a hold of Jamie’s heart that night.

“I was in a dark hole, that not only was I addicted to every drug you could think of and drinking, but I just lost my best friend. A lot of guilt and shame from how I acted and how I treated him and other family members.”

Hiscox went to Celebrate Recovery meetings at a church in 2007 and worked on himself. On Good Friday, 2011, that’s when things changed, and God opened his eyes.

“Jesus, the risen Christ appeared before me and, he pretty much said, you're going at things religiously, and you're trying to fix yourself and fix the past and fix all the things that you've done wrong. Thoughts you've had, things you've done to people, things that have been done to you, he says, but that's exactly why I died on the cross [for].”

Hiscox said he was set free at that moment.

“God called me to be real with people.  I want to live a life and I don't always get it right.”

Hiscox is currently writing and recording for his upcoming EP and the first single “On the Water” came out in October 2021.
