The County of Grande Prairie is urging the public to report road issues caused by spring runoff.

The following County roads are closed until further notice due to flooding as a result of spring thaw:

  • Township Road 714 from Range Road 124 to Range Road 130: Detour using Range Road 125
  • Range Road 131 from Township Road 714 to Township Road 720: Detour using Township Road 125

The following roads have been re-opened to traffic:

  • Range Road 31 from Highway 43 to Township Road 724

Motorists are urged to respect the road closures and barricades that are in place and to exercise caution on rural roads. Warm temperatures leading to spring runoff and water flowing over some roadways have caused poor road conditions. Do not bypass or move barricades. Closed roads may have hidden hazards, including washouts and erosion. Motorists should also use extreme caution, especially during the night, as road conditions can change rapidly. These road closures are in place to protect people and prevent further damage to roads.

For a complete list of road closures in effect, visit the County website.
