Around noon, County Regional Fire Service responded to a reported structure fire near Range Road 50 and Township Road 734.

Upon arrival, the responding crews from the Clairmont and Dunes fire stations found a house on fire. Crews brought the fire under control, with help from the Bezanson and Teepee Creek stations along with the Sexsmith and Wembley fire departments.

“Our number one priority is keeping the public safe,” says Fire Chief Dan Verdun. “It’s essential that people call 911 at the first sign of smoke or fire and allow the responding crews to do their job.”

No one was injured as a result of the fire. Crews remain on scene and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
