Construction on the final phase of the 100 Street Corridor project will begin on Monday, April 15, 2024. This project is part of the City's ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and functionality of our roadways and to create a more attractive and accessible downtown area for residents, businesses and visitors.

This project phase will involve the closure of 100 Street between 103 Avenue and 105 Avenue to replace the aging underground infrastructure and reconstruct the road with upgraded sidewalks, street lighting, traffic signals, and landscaping.

All businesses will remain open during the construction phase, expected to be complete by early fall, but access may be modified slightly. A detour route will be in place using 98 and 102 streets between 103 and 110 avenues. As always, please obey all traffic control personnel and signage, and slow down near crews working to ensure everyone's safety.

The City encourages residents and visitors to stay informed about the project by visiting www.fortstjohn.ca/100-street or by following the City's social media channels. Regular updates and construction alerts will be posted on these platforms throughout the project.
