Professional basketball player, Lamar Odom, has officially given his life to Christ after multiple near-death experiences.

Odom was on life support and a coma after a near-fatal drug overdose in October of 2015. While in the coma, Odom experienced 12 strokes and six heart attacks due to a weakened state as a result of his compulsive cocaine addiction.

He has recovered from those episodes, and on Sunday, October 27, 2019, he decided to give his life to Christ at a church in Atlanta.

"They're amazed that I'm here. I always knew I had a strong will. I think my will is even stronger than I believed it was. It's a testament that God is good. When I woke up and I couldn't talk or walk I never thought I would be here," Odom says to AP News.

"Nowadays I'm doing the best I can in walking with the Lord. Thanks to Pastor Vernon @drravernon, I got saved at @thewordchurch this weekend. I had to show Jesus my appreciation for keeping me alive!" Odom says in an Instagram post.

Sabrina Parr, his new girlfriend was right beside him throughout this faith declaration and fully supports his new lease on life. "Nothing better than a man of God! Keeping pushing through life baby!!" she commented.

Odom has joined the increasing number of celebrities who have declared their faith in Christ publically this year.
