Matthew 10:29

Maybe you have a worry related to some simple, daily problem that eats away at your peace, like a rat in the corner of your life. It just gnaws and gnaws and gnaws. You can't seem to get out from under it. Maybe it was a foolish mistake you made and you're paying for it....

The problem with worry is that it makes you forget your worth

Worry makes you feel worthless, forgotten, and unimportant.

That's why Jesus says that we are worth much more than the birds of the air who neither worry nor die of hunger because their heavenly Father feeds them (Matthew 6:26). They enjoy what's there. If God is able to sustain the lesser creatures, won't He sustain the greater?

Maybe you're worried about things that seem important in your life. Yet your heavenly Father knows what is essential better than you do.

And you are worth so much that He is taking things one at a time, dealing with more important things right now in your life.
