Canadians go to the polls on Monday, October 21, 2019. Here's a look at everything you need to know in order to vote.
When to vote
Advanced polls are now closed. Election day is Monday, October 21, 2019.
Voting hours vary from province to province.
In Alberta, polling stations are open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where to vote
The province of Alberta currently has 34 electoral districts represented in the House of Commons of Canada. If you're unsure of what riding you live in, or where you need to go to vote, you can enter your address in the search bar at the link.
What to bring
Identification is required in order to vote. One piece of government-issued photo ID or two other pieces of ID that have your name. At least one must have your current address.
If you don't have accepted ID, you can still vote if you sign a solemn declaration confirming your identity and address and have someone who knows you and who is assigned to your polling station vouch for you.
