UPDATE: On Jan. 25, 2024, Grande Prairie RCMP responded to a collision on Highway 676, East of Range Road 260, between a Grader and a Pickup truck.

RCMP and STARS attended. Though this was initially reported as a fatality, Alberta RCMP would like to advise the public and the media that, though serious injuries did

occur, there were no fatalities. The injured were transported to the hospital by STARS.

Highway 676 has since reopened for travel.

 

 

Grande Prairie RCMP are currently on scene of a fatal collision on Highway 676, East of Range Road 260. The Highway will be closed in both directions while emergency personnel respond. RCMP Collision Analysts are also on route to conduct their investigation.

At this time, members the public are asked to avoid the area and seek alternate routes of transit.

A release is anticipated once the highway is reopened, and more details become available.
