On July 13, 2023, Peace River RCMP executed a search warrant in the Terrace Trailer Park in Peace River. The investigation, which started in May 2023, revealed two suspects that were trafficking in drugs, namely cocaine. While executing the warrant, Peace River RCMP arrested the two suspects who were subsequently charged.

As a result of the search, RCMP seized:

 

  • Flame Thrower
  • A large amount of .22 caliber ammunition
  • Body armour vest
  • 48.5 grams of cocaine
  • 70.7 grams of methamphetamine
  • 4.6 grams of fentanyl
  • $1220 in Canadian currency

 

As a result of the investigation, RCMP have charged Bradley Victor Morency (43), resident of Peace River, with:

 

  • Trafficking Cocaine
  • Possession of Cocaine with intent to traffic
  • Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to traffic
  • Possession of Fentanyl with intent to traffic
  • Theft under $5000
  • Possession of ammunition and prohibited weapon while prohibited to do so

 

RCMP have also charged Jesse May Nadeau (26), a resident of Grimshaw, Alta., with:

 

  • Two counts of Trafficking Cocaine
  • Possession of Cocaine with intent to traffic
  • Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to traffic
  • Possession of Fentanyl with intent to traffic

 

Morency and Nadeau were brought before a Justice of the Peace with appearances set for appearances July 24, 2023 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Peace River. Nadeau was released and Morency was held in custody.
