Due to the extreme cold temperatures across the Peace Country all school buses will be cancelled for tomorrow (Jan 12).
This includes, All First Student Buses, Buses with the Peace Wapiti Public School Division, Grande Prairie Public School District, Grande Prairie & District Catholic Schools, as well buses in Valleyview, Peace River, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, and Fort St. John.
School buses were cancelled this morning with windchill temperatures near minus 50. Overnight lows across the Peace Country tonight will see temperatures near minus 60 with the windchill.
Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect.
While school buses will be cancelled, most schools will remain open for students.
