The province is providing almost $31.5-million for rural infrastructure.

Minister of Finance Travis Toews says it's all part of the province's efforts toward post-pandemic recovery.

"The projects we're announcing today will improve the accessibility and movement of goods and people in the region, they'll enhance safety and efficiency and they'll extend the service life of key transportation infrastructure in the region."

Transportation Minister Rajan Sawhney says strong infrastructure is key to attracting investment.

"We know that these investments are sound because municipalities looked at their list of priorities and told us what projects are most critical to their community, so tremendous and engagement."

"These projects are important in supporting municipalities in developing and maintaining key transportation infrastructure that will promote economic growth and improve travel for industry and people alike," Sawhney says.
