A big announcement from the Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG).

This upcoming hockey season, fans 12 and older must present proof of one of the following for entry into Rogers Place:

- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination received at least 14 days before the day of the game (the full series of a Government of Canada accepted COVID-19 vaccine or combination of accepted vaccines). Either electronic or paper records will be accepted. Albertans' immunization records are easily viewed online and available on cell phones through MyHealthRecords or by downloading the MyHealthRecords app.

- A negative COVID-19 test result from an approved testing provider is taken within 48 hours of the game's scheduled start time (for example: if a game is on Thursday at 7 p.m., the COVID-19 test must be taken any time beginning 7 p.m. on Tuesday)

All employees, volunteers and contractors also must be fully vaccinated at least two weeks before the pre-season games begin.

"OEG is committed to providing a safe working environment for our employees, as well as a safe environment for our customers and members of the public with whom we interact regularly," said OEG in a release.

The Oilers' first pre-season game is on Sept.28 at 7 p.m. against Seattle.
