The Road Rehabilitation Program continues in Creekside starting June 15, and in College Park starting June 18.

Starting Tuesday, June 15, crews will be completing an asphalt overlay on 92 Street between 92 Avenue and the Woody Channel. Some regrading of the existing storm swale along 92 Street will also take place to improve storm drainage in the area. Asphalt overlay is a method used to prolong the current roadway showing cracks and potholes, while still not being damaged enough to warrant a full road reconstruction.

On Friday, June 18, Full Depth Reclamation work will begin in the College Park area along West Side Drive between 108 Street and 106 Street then, upon completion, crews will move to 106 Street between West Side Drive and 100 Avenue. Full Depth Reclamation consists of pulverizing the existing road pavement and mixing it into the granular base structure. Cement and foamed asphalt are mixed into the structure and compacted, and a new asphalt pavement structure is placed overtop.

Upgrades at these locations also include concrete work, storm sewer infrastructure repairs, line painting, and landscaping. It is anticipated that crews will operate from Monday to Saturday with work at all sites expected to be complete in the first week of July.

Motorists can expect some delays as traffic will be down to alternating lanes as construction activities take place. Drivers are reminded to drive with caution near construction zones, obey all posted signage, and follow the direction of flag persons if present.

The City appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding during this construction season. For more information on planned projects, visit the City’s website.
