Thanks for your support of Rising Above during the 13th annual Share-a-thon on Reach FM.  $107,448.99 was raised by 6pm on Wednesday (Sept 20).

Every last dollar of these funds will go towards helping local people in our region.

Housing - Safe housing 19 beds for men, 17 beds for women, 15 beds second stage. (51 beds all together)

Employment – Job readiness training at partner agencies like Mission Thrift

Life-skills - 9 hours a week, Courses on Healthy Relationships. Anger Management, Goal Setting, Self-Esteem, Job Readiness, Depression, Addictions, Attitudes, etc.

Personal Development – Inner healing and individual support to help deal with the deeper emotional issues as well as Case Management

Spiritual Formation - Helping people connect with God at a deep and personal level.

Rising Above is a non-profit organization operating in Grande Prairie, providing residential treatment to both men and woman, and inner healing to those in the program and community, helping them to break cycles of defeat. The organization also has relationships for work in Fort St. John and Peerless Trout First Nation, and soon in Peterborough, Ontario.
