County crews dedicated to snow removal in residential areas will start in the Hamlet of Clairmont between 100 and 113 Avenue at 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 23.

After completing snow removal in the area, crews will move onto the subdivisions of Westlake Estates and Whispering Ridge in Clairmont, followed by Wedgewood, Maple Ridge and Taylor Estates.

Temporary parking restrictions will be put into place in Clairmont over the weekend. During heavy snowfall, temporary parking restrictions are put in place 24 hours in advance, when possible, and “No Parking” signage will be posted at entrances to the area. When “No Parking” signs are visible, parking on roadways and streets will not be permitted between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Vehicles left on the street when a parking restriction is in place may be ticketed and/or towed. Residents are reminded that piling snow onto roadways is illegal and punishable by a $100 fine, as it slows the snow clearing process and creates a traffic safety hazard.

New this year, digital “no parking” signage for snow removal has been installed in the following areas:

  • Clairmont at 100 Ave & 100 St
  • Clairmont at 107A Ave & 100 St
  • Whispering Ridge in Clairmont at 154 Ave & 102 St
  • Whispering Ridge in Clairmont at 149 Ave & 102 St
  • Westlake Village in Clairmont at 156 Ave & 102 St
  • Entrance to Wedgewood

The digitally lit signs are intended to improve visibility when snow removal is taking place. If successful, all “no parking” signage will be replaced by digital versions next season.
