County crews dedicated to residential snow removal will clear residual snow in the Hamlet of Clairmont tomorrow morning, covering most of the area between 100 and 116 Ave.

Parking restrictions will be in place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Crews will have successfully cleared snow and ice buildup on 112 Ave between 95 and 96 St and 113 Ave between 95 and 98 St by Wednesday evening. Residents are thanked for responding to the temporary restrictions and moving parked cars from the street.

Residents living in select residential areas in the County, including Hamlet of Hythe, the subdivisions of Wedgewood, Maple Ridge and Taylor Estates, as well as Whispering Ridge, Westlake Estates and 116 Ave to 100 Ave in the Hamlet of Clairmont, are reminded to watch for the digital “No Parking” signs throughout the winter season. When the signs are lit, temporary parking restrictions are in place and street parking is not permitted between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Vehicles left on the street when a parking restriction is in place may be ticketed and/or towed. Residents are reminded that piling snow onto roadways is illegal and could result in a $100 fine, as it slows the snow clearing process and creates a traffic safety hazard.

Residents are encouraged to subscribe to stay in the know about snow removal at www.countygp.ab.ca/snowremoval. As crews make progress clearing in these residential areas and new temporary parking restrictions are put in place, updates will be emailed to webpage subscribers and appear on the interactive web map.

This residential snow removal process and temporary parking restrictions are in place in neighbourhoods or communities with a concrete curb and gutter, and street parking. Snow removal in rural areas, and other County subdivisions with ditches along the road like Carriage Land and Goldenrod Estates, are on a separate schedule.
