The Peace Country Drug Awareness Coalition is hosting an Overdose Awareness Day this September. Normally the day is celebrated on August 31 (International Overdose Awareness Day), but with the busyness of back-to-school, they decided to have it on Sunday, Sept 19th.

The event will be happening on the south side of the Montrose Cultural Centre on the concourse.  The day will involve community groups that have joined with the coalition to provide support and information for those interested. Food trucks will also be on site for those who want to grab something to eat over the dinner hour.

The Peace Country Drug Awareness Coalition is a combination of community members and community organizations coming together. They collaborate with the community to provide awareness around substance abuse and the stigma associated with it through various events and campaigns throughout the Peace Country.
