The City of Grande Prairie is currently seeking naming rights partnerships for several recreational facilities across the community.

The customized partnerships offer businesses a unique way to show a strong commitment to the community while connecting with new audiences and potential customers in a high-visibility area.

Through exploring partnership opportunities, the city is able to explore multiple revenue streams to keep costs affordable for all users and reduce the burden on the residential tax base while building valuable partnerships in the community.

The properties available for naming rights include:

Community Knowledge Campus (CKC) West Synthetic Turf and Grandstands

The CKC West Turf Field is the City’s first premier outdoor synthetic turf field.

It includes:

• Spectator seating for 812

• Top floor plaza

• Dressing rooms

• Meeting room

• Spotter’s boxes

• Concession

The facility has been home to many regional, provincial and national tournaments, playoffs and finals for both football and soccer since 2014. A new $4.7 million upgrade to add the grandstands was completed in fall 2018, adding the finishing touches to this premier outdoor sports field. It is anticipated to bring in over 70,000 impressions annually, capturing views from both 68 Avenue and Highway 40.

Twin Ice Arenas

The Twin Ice Arenas, connected to Eastlink Centre and part of the Community Knowledge Campus, is the only facility of its sort in the city boasting two year-round ice surfaces and a variety of unique spaces to host meetings and events including:

• two national hockey league ice surfaces

• 12 change rooms • three referee rooms

• three meeting rooms

• Lounge and concession

The multimillion-dollar facility is the hub for a number of ice sports such as minor hockey, figure skating, speed skating, sledge hockey, ringette as well as spring and summer camps and a variety of drop-in programs offered throughout the year, garnering an approximate 650,000 views annually.

Outdoor Pool First opening in 1962 and recently undergoing a $4.5 million renovation, the outdoor pool is a summer staple in the community that features:

 • Tots Pool

• Zero Beach

• Spanish Steps and Lily Islands

• Games area

• Lanes and jets for swimming

• Waterslide

The seasonal facility is anticipated to bring in over 68,000 users annually. From public swims to swimming lessons and private rental opportunities, it is the essential summer hangout for residents and visitors of all ages.
