Matthew West is making an extra stop on his Christmas tour to share the season with a Christian mission group.

In Wests's Instagram post, he says he living out his message to "do something" by visiting programs such as Charlotte Rescue Mission.

"Sometimes I'm guilty of just singing that song, not living it," West says in the video. "I think it's going to be pretty special."

On December 18, West served lunch and performed for the men currently in their addictions program.

Charlotte Rescue Mission is a Christian mission group that works with men and women with additions in Charlotte, North Carolina. West visited before performing at a church in Charlotte for his Christmas Tour.

"It was incredible to have you here, pouring all of your love and blessings onto the men we serve," Charlotte Rescue Mission says in a Facebook post to Matthew West.

‪This Christmas season I wanted to give back, and “do something.” On the @kloveradio Christmas tour, our team visited different rescue missions to serve meals, worship, and spread the Christmas spirit. These moments are so special to me. Let’s not forget to give back and help those in your community this busy season. ‬
