On January 21, Manning RCMP, along with RCMP Victim Services were busy cooking a healthy breakfast at the Manning Elementary School in Manning in support of the “Food for Thought” initiative.

Each month, Manning RCMP Detachment personnel participate in this initiative that provides free healthy food to students who may not otherwise eat breakfast. This initiative is based on the belief that to learn well, children need to eat well.

“This initiative is a great example of how the Manning RCMP and RCMP Victim Services can support the young students in our community with an opportunity to eat a healthy breakfast and also to connect with their local police,” says Sgt. Matthew Robinson, Manning RCMP Detachment Commander.
