In the morning of Oct. 15, Peace Regional RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter to the Mighty Peace Golf Club near Grimshaw. 

Investigation revealed that a suspect had broken into the business and had stolen many items, including golf equipment, food, liquor and clothing, among other things.  Police and staff from the business were able to track the suspect to a nearby location, where he was found in possession of the stolen property, suspected controlled substances and a makeshift firearm. 

As a result of the investigation, Anthony Aaron Roshuk, a 32-year-old from the Nampa area, has been apprehended on multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest, stemming from incidents in multiple jurisdictions throughout the Peace region.   

He's further charged with the following criminal offences in relation to this incident, including: 

  • Two counts of breaking and entering with intent 
  • Possession of property obtained by crime 
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon 
  • Three counts of possession of a controlled substance  
  • Obstructing a peace officer 
  • And eight counts of failing to comply with conditions of a release order 

Roshuk has been remanded into custody pending the outcome of a bail hearing, which is next scheduled for Oct. 19 in Peace River provincial court.
