Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, and Valleyview areas.

A Pacific weather system is expected to bring 10 to 15 cm of snow beginning this afternoon, to portions of west central Alberta, and spreading eastward towards the Edmonton area though the overnight hours. The snow is expected to taper off Wednesday afternoon.

Snowfall warnings may need to be expanded towards the Saskatchewan border as the system develops.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
