The shelter in place has now been lifted as Peace Regional RCMP have arrested an adult male that was involved in this incident.

This afternoon at approximately 2:45 p.m., police responded to a call at a residence in the area of 103 Street and 110 Avenue where it is alleged a firearm was pointed at two victims. The victims left the area and no one was injured.

An adult male was taken into custody and charges are pending while the investigation continues.

Peace Regional RCMP would like to thank the public who sheltered in place until this situation was resolved.

Peace Regional RCMP are asking residents in an area of Peace River to shelter in place as police respond to an incident.

Residents in the area of 103 Street and 110 Avenue are requested to shelter in place, unless otherwise directed by police.

There is a heavy police presence surrounding a home and police will remain in the area until further notice.

RCMP are also asking the public to refrain from posting photos and video on social media.

No further details will be made available until the situation has been resolved and an update will be provided at that time.
