In the City of Grande Prairie, 11 new COVID-19 cases were reported today (March 10), and 25 people recovered. The active total is 200 with 1543 recoveries.

In the County of Grande Prairie, 10 new cases were added, and seven people recovered. There’s now 74 active cases and 434 recoveries.

Peace Region totals:

Provincially, Alberta has reported 399 new cases from 10,414 tests completed and our positivity rate sits at 4%. Right now, 4,463 cases are active in the province. With 404 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 130,382.

There’s 254 people in the hospital with the virus, with 37 of these in intensive care. This is nine fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and the same number of ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 30 people in the hospital with one of these admitted to intensive care.

Alberta has reported two more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,928 since the start of the pandemic.

Forty-seven more variant cases of COVID-19 have been found for a total of 734. There have been five total found in the North Zone since testing for the variants began.

There have now been 308,962 vaccine doses administered, 4,645 new, with 91,259 people fully immunized with two doses.
