This is second year in a row being nominated for the Juno Awards. Last year she received nominations for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.
This past year, Townes took home several awards. She won three of six awards she was nominated for at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards in September, including Female Artist of the Year for the second year in a row, Songwriter of the Year and Video of the Year.
In addition, Townes was named New Female Artist of the Year back in August by the Academy of Country Music. Townes was surprised with the news in a video call from country star Keith Urban.
More recently, Townes won Female Artist of the Year and Single of the Year at the Country Music Alberta Awards in February this year.
The 50th annual Juno awards ceremony will be happening May 16 in Toronto.
The full list of nominees can be found on the Juno Awards website.
