GRANDE PRAIRIE RECMP CHARGE YOUNG OFFENDERS FOLLOWING MULTIPLE BREAK AND ENTERS

Grande Prairie, Alberta - During period of July 19, 2018 and July 20, 2018 RCMP received numerous calls from residents reporting break and enters and mischief to their residences, primarily in the area of Crystal Lake Estates.

While investigating the break and enters, police encountered a stolen vehicle with three occupants. The suspects fled from the scene on foot but were located with the assistance of Police Dog Services and arrested without incident. Investigation revealed that all three were involved in the earlier crimes.

Three 14-year-old males from Grande Prairie are facing various charges including:

  • Break and Enter (multiple counts)
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5000 (multiple counts)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 (multiple counts)
  • Mischief
  • Fail to comply with conditions

The incidents remain under investigation and further charges may be pending.
