The Aftermath of Beaverlodge, AB Flooding

THE AFTERMATH OF BEAVERLODGE, AB FLOODING
August 2, 2018

In the wake of the August 1st severe thunderstorms across the Peace Region.  Beaverlodge received the most fury from the storm.

The storm that swept through Northeast BC and Northern AB created high winds, hail, flooding and power outages.  A funnel cloud was reported in Grimshaw, AB.

Beaverlodge, Hythe and Wembly fire departments worked together to clear the flooded areas.  Highway 43 is reopened.  Some areas remain flooded and residence are asked to avoid those areas.

It is reported that another severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Northeast BC today.
