The Grande Prairie Public Library has named Hailey McCullough as its new Library Director.

McCullough, who has been with the Grande Prairie Public Library for six years as the Head of Adult Services, is looking forward to continuing to serve the community in her new role. “Grande Prairie is such an active and community-oriented city, and I look forward to continuing to help shape library services to meet the needs of residents as the Library Director.”

McCullough graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Creative Writing and a Master of Library and Information Science degree. Prior to working at the Grande Prairie Public Library in her role as the Head of Adult Services, she was a librarian with the College of the North Atlantic in Labrador City, NL.

“Grande Prairie Public Library is a crucial thread of the social fabric of the City and the surrounding area. The City of Grande Prairie Library Board looks forward to working with Hailey as she moves into her new role of Library Director.” said Deb Normington, Library Board Chair.

McCullough’s new role came into effect January 1st.
