Alberta has added 351 new cases of COVID-19 today (Feb. 11), from almost 10,000 tests completed, for a positivity rate of about 3.5%.

Right now, 5,501 cases are active in the province. With 540 more people recovering, the recovered total has reached 120,676.

There’s 397 people in the hospital with the virus, with 71 of these in intensive care. This is 24 fewer hospitalizations than reported yesterday, and six fewer ICU admissions. In the North Zone, there’s 48 people in the hospital with four of these admitted to intensive care.

Alberta has reported 16 more COVID-related deaths, for a total of 1,744 since the start of the pandemic.

There’s been 36 more variant cases identified since yesterday, for a total of 156. There have not been any variant cases found in the North Zone. There have been 64 found in the Calgary Zone, 56 in the Edmonton Zone and 36 in the Central Zone.

There have now been 135,575 vaccine doses administered. More than 42,000 people have been fully immunized with two doses.

In the City of Grande Prairie, 28 new cases were added, and 13 people recovered. The active total is 182 with 1124 recoveries.

In the County of Grande Prairie, six new cases were added today, and one person recovered. There’s now 41 active cases and 337 recoveries.
