The City of Grande Prairie is conducting its bi-annual Resident Satisfaction Survey from May 31 to June 19.

The Resident Satisfaction Survey objectively measures satisfaction with municipal services and identifies priorities among residents to help the City assess and compare community satisfaction overtime.

The goal of this project is to gather valuable resident feedback to be used in City planning to help build strong, vibrant and sustainable communities with a high quality of life where people are proud to live, work and play.

“The Resident Satisfaction Survey is a key initiative for the City and a significant component of building engaging relationships, which is one of Council’s strategic priorities,” says Mayor Jackie Clayton.

“We look forward to the results of the survey to gain a better understanding of our resident’s priorities and satisfaction levels with City services to better inform our decision-making process and best meet our community’s needs.”

About the Survey Deloitte has been retained to complete the survey, which includes a random telephone survey and a public online survey.

The survey collects responses from 400 telephone interviews based on a random sampling across both cell and landlines to gather representative and statistically valid results. The caller ID for the survey will be displayed as 1-877-392-0956. The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and includes questions related to satisfaction of current services, views on property taxes and allocations of resources, communication strategies and resident priorities.

If called, residents are encouraged to complete the phone survey and share their feedback so the project can gather strong responses to better support City decision-making.

All responses are combined so no identifying information is included and all responses remain anonymous.

Following the telephone survey, a digital version of the survey will be available through engage.cityofgp.com to allow for wider participation beyond those selected in the random phone sample.

The 2022 Citizen Satisfaction survey will be reviewed against the historical data from previous surveys and other municipalities for longer-term planning and prioritizing. Results will be made publicly available following the conclusion of the survey.

The City of Grande Prairie thanks everyone for their participation and looks forward to incorporating the results into building an even brighter future for the City of Grande Prairie and everyone who calls it home.
