Grande Prairie Enforcement Services congratulates Astrid Morgensen on winning the grand prize draw of this summer’s positive ticket program.

The City thanks Astrid for setting an excellent example for others on how to properly wear their helmet while riding a bike, promoting positivity, responsibility, and safety within our community.

The City of Grande Prairie’s positive ticket program ran from June to August 2021, with the goal of encouraging children and youth within the community to build attributes of good citizenship by rewarding their positive acts.

Positive tickets were issued for observed summer safe activities such as wearing a helmet while biking or skateboarding or good deeds such children helping each other and adding to the spirit of community.

The positive tickets could then be redeemed at City on 99th for a small bag of City swag & prizes, as well as be entered into a draw for a grand prize, a Nintendo Switch console and Lego Worlds video game.

A total of 29 positive tickets were issued to youth in the community.
